Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and rice vinegar.
- Place chicken breasts in a zip‑top bag and pour the marinade over. Seal and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or oven to 375°F. Remove chicken from marinade and grill or bake until cooked through, about 20‑25 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, combine remaining marinade with cornstarch and water. Bring to a boil and simmer until thickened.
- Brush sauce over chicken before serving and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra caramelization
- broil the chicken for the last 2 minutes after brushing with sauce. Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds if desired.
